Gradual Perceptions: Identifying and Navigating the Unique Experiences of Women in the Workplace : A 2018 Pew Research survey found that six in ten women report experiencing unwanted sexual advances or harassment. This “Women in the Workplace” series defines the overt and covert forms of harassment and discrimination women face in the workplace. These conversations help support the creation of a healthy and equitable environment for all and are critical for a healthy and flourishing work environment, especially in today’s workplace where women increasingly occupy roles at all levels. With the above in mind, the “Women in the Workplace” program will then shift the focus from definitions and assessments to defining what “optimum” health and functioning in workplace culture looks like across genders. The goal is to create a positive flourishing environment where the best in all employees becomes manifest in the safe environment of equality of job opportunity and advancement, and the reassurance that threats to such cooperative culture is not tolerated.
